Global Infrastructure Hub

Culture Transformation Award 2021

Culture requires commitment, and commitment requires persistence. The GI Hub cultural transformation wouldn’t have been nearly as successful if it weren’t for our leaders who were able to inspire the team in building a culture of shared accountability. This accelerated the journey toward our ideal culture immensely. By implementing a tailored, measurable and actionable plan, we were able to increase our constructive styles and significantly decrease defensive and passive styles in just under 18 months! A critical ingredient to this change is through educating the team, step by step on how culture works, how it differs from engagement and how to identify the red, blue and green within our day to day interactions. We are so excited to embed and sustain these impressive results for years to come.

Latrobe Health Services

Culture Transformation Award 2021

After 70 years of providing health insurance to Australians, Latrobe Health Services embarked on an ambitious Strategic Plan in 2018 to become the number one not-for-profit regional health fund by 2030 – and with this plan made the commitment to a journey of culture transformation. It was a line in the sand moment where the organisation recognised its culture was the key to realising its vision; providing a place of energy, coaching, encouragement, and innovation for staff would translate to growth and retention of members.
Fast forward to 2021, Latrobe Health Services is a fund that has grown more than twice industry average in the past 18 months and has one of the highest member satisfaction ratings in the industry – and the organisation largely attributes this to the significant transformation towards constructive styles within its team. A deliberate focus on transforming the way people work, supporting leaders, coaching for success, role clarity and designing career pathways has helped achieve less reliance on the previous passive and defensive behavioural norms that once dominated the hallways at Latrobe Health Services.
Despite a rapidly changing external environment, Latrobe Health Services leaders found new ways of working, connecting and growing as a united and energised team. Integration of a constructive mindset and approach within the Latrobe Employee Value Proposition (our People Promise) has enabled clear and dynamic pathways for action. It’s an exciting time to be part of Latrobe Health Services, and the journey has only just begun.

Frasers Property

Culture Transformation Award 2021

Our culture reflects our values and the emphasis we have put on developing a culture where our people and projects thrive. We have focused on developing and empowering people, and honest and clear communication. Building resilience in our culture has been important to us given the cyclical nature of the property market. Sustaining our culture through the COVID-19 pandemic is a testament to this. More than that, we have been fortunate to draw on the bank of ‘good will’ with our people through some very unexpected and challenging times. We know that empathetic & humanistic corporate cultures will be more successful at creating great workplaces and putting customers at the core of their business, both of which we’ll continue working on. We are proud to receive this recognition for our amazing employees.
