How to Run an LSI Debrief Using the New LSI Digital Interface
The new LSI Digital interface makes conducting an LSI debrief smoother, more interactive, and far more engaging for both practitioners and participants. With intuitive navigation, built-in learning tools, and the ability for participants to draw their own circumplex profiles, the digital interface enhances the entire feedback experience—from preparation, to debrief, to action planning.
Below is your step-by-step guide to using the new interface effectively during an LSI debrief.
- Accessing the Digital Report
Start in the Accredited Practitioner Portal.
- From the login screen, go to Projects → Current Projects.
- Select the project associated with the participant.
- Click Participants → Ready for Reporting.
- Here you’ll see all participants whose digital reports are ready.
Under the View column, click View to open the participant’s LSI Digital report.
This is your coach view—perfect for screen-sharing during the debrief.
To release the report to the participant, tick their name and click Release Selected Digital Reports.
Participants will receive the same interface and screens that you see.
- Starting the Debrief: Orientation & Introduction
When you open the LSI Digital report, the participant is greeted with an introductory video explaining the LSI model.
Click Go to Dashboard to enter the main experience.
You’ll also find additional introductory content designed to help participants—particularly first-timers—understand the purpose and structure of the LSI.
- Using the “Click & Draw” Tool
One of the most powerful new features is the interactive Click & Draw tool, which allows participants to colour in their own circumplex profile.
How to use it during rapport building
- Send the link to participants before or during rapport building.
- Direct them to the Click & Draw area.
- Access Raw Scores via the top menu.
- Read out each style’s raw score while the participant clicks and colours the circumplex in real time.
This creates:
- Engagement from the very beginning
- A deeper sense of ownership
- A more embodied understanding of the LSI model
Once they have completed their LSI 1 drawing, you can move into the results review.
- Reviewing the LSI 1 Results
Share your screen and click Results to reveal their official LSI 1 profile.
You can now:
- Explore each circumplex style
- Click into individual styles
- View item-by-item breakdowns
- Discuss high and low ranges
- Connect results back to behaviours and impact
This process mirrors a traditional LSI debrief—with the added benefit of interactive exploration.
- Accessing Raw Scores, Satisfaction & Summary Perceptions
Using the menu at the top of the screen, you can access:
- Raw Scores (used for Click & Draw)
- Satisfaction Items
- Summary Perceptions
These provide valuable context for understanding the participant’s self-perception and behavioural tendencies.
- Drawing and Debriefing the LSI 2
Direct the participant back to Click & Draw.
Using the same process:
- Read out the raw scores.
- Have them colour in their LSI 2 profile.
- Return to your screen share and toggle on LSI 2 next to LSI 1.
This allows you to:
- Compare similarities and differences
- Explore shifts in behaviours
- Identify themes, patterns, and gaps
You can also hide or reveal the LSI 1 profile using the side tab if needed.
- Exploring Spread of Opinion & Breakout Circumplexes
Under the same menu, you can also access:
- Spread of Opinion
- Breakout Circumplexes by rater group
This is especially helpful for LSI 2 conversations.
You can scroll through the circumplexes for different rater groups—managers, peers, direct reports, etc.—and explore how each group perceives the participant.
New Feature: Self Score Column
In the LSI 2 item-by-item table, the self score now appears directly in the comparison table.
This makes differences between LSI 1 and LSI 2 insightfully visible and opens new avenues for meaningful conversation.
- Accessing Summary Perceptions (Including Others)
Within the expanded menu, you can view:
- Questions asked only of the participant
- Questions asked only of respondents
- Combined summary perception grid
The grid highlights:
- Confirmed Strengths
- Stumbling Blocks
- Blind Spots
- Unrecognised Strengths
This helps participants make sense of their multi-rater feedback at a glance.
- Introducing Action Planning
At the end of the debrief, direct the participant to the Action Planning button.
This opens an interactive PDF where participants can:
- Capture insights
- Document development goals
- Plan behavioural steps
- Structure check-ins with you or their manager
This supports ongoing development long after the debrief ends.
After completing the debrief, return to the project page, select the participant, and click Release Selected Digital Reports if you haven’t already.
- Using the Development Guide
Built into the platform is the full LSI Development Guide, including:
- Style explanations
- Behavioural characteristics
- Impact at low, medium, and high ranges
- Implications for managers
- Relationships with other styles
- Development suggestions
Participants can explore each style independently, supported by videos and practical tips—giving them everything they need for deeper self-directed growth.
A More Engaging, Insightful, and Empowering LSI Experience
The new LSI Digital interface brings the LSI to life in a way that paper reports simply can’t match. Through interactive tools, deeper visualisation, clearer comparison of LSI 1 and 2, and built-in development resources, practitioners and participants alike gain a richer, more personalised experience.
Whether you’re debriefing face-to-face or online, LSI Digital makes the process easier, more intuitive, and more impactful—and encourages participants to truly take ownership of their journey toward more constructive thinking and behaviour.
