Outcomes The outcomes of culture can be assessed at the individual member, the group and the organisational levels. Individual outcomes focus on the extent to which the organisation has a positive, rather than negative, impact on the personal states and attitudes of its members. Positive outcomes include role clarity, motivation, satisfaction and intention to stay, whilst negative outcomes include role conflict, stress and job security. Group outcomes focus on the extent to which the organisation effectively integrates and co-ordinates the efforts of its members and units. This includes intra-unit teamwork, inter-unit co-ordination and department level quality. Organisational outcomes focus on the organisation's effectiveness with respect to its external environment. This includes organisational level quality and external adaptability. Whilst the Organisational Culture Inventory (OCI) measures a limited number of outcomes, a more comprehensive coverage is achieved by combining this with the Organisational Effectiveness Inventory (OEI).
