The Levers for Change The causal factors now become the levers for change. Once the cultural change targets have been established, then the specific levers that must be 'pulled' to encourage these new behaviours can be identified. The Organisational Effectiveness Inventory (OEI) and the Organisational Culture Inventory (OCI) combined report provides an analysis of the causal factors, comparing these to our database of other organisations, using this to identify comparative strengths and change needs. A gap analysis graphs these against the database benchmark, indicating those that are 'above' and 'below' the line.
The undesirable gaps indicate the primary levers for change. 'Pull' these levers and the behavioural norms will change. Change the culture and the outcomes will change. In short, your organisation will become more effective. Reseach has shown that the single most influential lever for change is leadership: how your leaders and managers lead, manage, behave, motivate and facilitate peoples' efforts.
