Bob will present how Lion Nathan used their culture results to continue building a high performance organisation. Specifically, how culture change levers were targeted to produce practical changes in structure, systems, skills and technology.

These changes enhanced and supported people development and led to a significant improvement in Lion Nathan’s organisational culture. These changes have produced exciting achievements, such as, Lion Nathan being recognised as one of the ten best places to work in Australia.

Sam will explain how they improved their organisational culture to overcome the challenges brought about by rapid growth. Kennards Self Storage used targeted people development strategies such as Personal Effectiveness Programme (PEP) as levers for change.

The senior team in conjunction with staff, worked hard and achieved impressive results, including reduced staff turnover. Stephen Klemich of Achievement Concepts guided Kennards Self Storage and will present alongside Sam.

Rob and Janet will present the latest research and experience from North America and internationally on creating high performance organisations. Using the How Culture Works model, practical steps to change culture and achieve organisational effectiveness will be presented. A highlight of this conference will be the Australian launch of the Organisational Effectiveness Inventory (OEI). The OEI is a complementary diagnostic to the Organisational Culture Inventory (OCI) that specifies the cultural levers necessary to change culture and enhance organisational performance. Rob and Janet have been recently recognised as international leaders in organisational culture development by the inclusion of their research in The Handbook of Organisational Culture and Climate.

Shaun will look at what organisational culture is and how it can be measured. An overview of Human Synergistics’ culture measurement (OCI) will give an understanding and meaning to the case studies which follow. Shaun will release the latest Australian and New Zealand organisational culture data and the challenges it presents.
