Shaun McCarthy is a Director of Human Synergistics NZ Ltd, based in our Wellington office. He has been in consulting now since 1974, with experience in New Zealand, Australia, USA, Canada, England, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

He introduced Human Synergistics into New Zealand in 1979 and now manages the business that incorporates offices in Wellington and Auckland, New Zealand and Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. He has also set up partnership agreements in Singapore and Malaysia. He is responsible for liasing with the Directors of Human Synergistics' businesses in North America and Europe and is currently involved in managing the implementation of a global data scoring, reporting and management system for all offices.

Human Synergistics is an international research and consulting company, specialising in the measurement and management of change. For over 25 years Human Synergistics' Integrated Development System has been producing documented growth in individuals, groups and organisations that exceeds common expectations. With a strong research base and excellence in data management, Human Synergistics' diagnostic instruments and accreditation services provide support to hundreds of consultants world-wide, allowing us unique perspectives on organisational structures, systems and technology and the impact these have on human behaviours and organisational performance.

Over the years Shaun has been privileged to consult with some very exciting organisations. These include Technology businesses, Oil companies, Transportation businesses, Healthcare organisations, Retail and Corporate Banks, Foodstuffs, Retail chains, the administrative arm of Government (including SOE's, service providers and policy advisors) and the political wing of Government (Cabinet/Caucus).

Through our accreditation programme, Shaun has also supported numerous independent consultants who use Human Synergistics materials with a wide range of organisations in several countries.

His academic studies include an undergraduate degree in Business and graduate studies in Psychology. His professional expertise lies in the field of organisational culture and leadership, in particular the impact of leadership thinking and behavioural norms on organisational effectiveness.
