Our Vision

Our vision of the world is one in which each of us feels that our personal effort can and does make a genuine difference. It is one in which organisations recognise this fundamental human need and enable this through their cultures. It is one in which those in authority fully understand that the route to organisational excellence is through human endeavour.

In short, it's about organisations being constructive places to work, leaders providing leadership and individuals seeing that their personal effort counts.

Our mission

Our role in working towards this vision is to:

  • Help those in leadership roles identify the relationship between behavioural strategies and styles and leadership effectiveness and provide a process for building personal capability in the leadership role.
  • Help organisations identify the values and expectations that define their current operating culture and how structures, systems, technologies and leadership qualities can become the levers for change as part of a cultural improvement strategy.
  • Help individuals identify where their personal effort can make a difference and to integrate this into organisational improvement programmes.
  • Provide researched strategies that are based on sound measurement principles and thus produce desirable outcomes.
  • Develop valid and reliable measurement and feedback tools that are the basis of delivering practical and realistic assistance to individuals, groups and organisations.

Our passion

What make us so passionate about our ability to do this? In a word: research.

Whilst others see research as dry and dull, we see it as being absolutely exciting. It offers the basis upon which we come to conclusions. It separates out what works from what does not. It gives us the confidence to focus on where we know our efforts can make a difference.

Through the scientific principles of observation, testing, application and measuring changes, we ensure the reliability and validity of our approach. In fact, we believe it is our commitment to research that truly distinguishes us from others in our field.

Our Australian and New Zealand research base of over 700 organisations and 30,000 individuals provides us with the most extensive database of human behaviour in this part of the world. The sheer amount of data is reflective of both our commitment to research and the extent to which local organisations trust and use our tools.

Our strategic approach

In our efforts to help people make a difference, we pursue three strategies:

  • Consulting: our own team of internationally experienced consultants are available to help you and your organisation achieve your goals.
  • Accredited Consultants: recognising the talents of consultants outside of our own team, we offer accreditation in our materials. At present we have over 1000 accredited consultants in New Zealand and Australia using our diagnostic instruments and development materials.
  • Internal Accreditation: as part of our belief in internal capability, we also accredit HR professionals within organisations to use our materials as part of their own development efforts.
