Frank Harkin
Consultant
For the last seven years
I have been employed as an Organisational Development Consultant with executive selection companies here
in Wellington. Primarily I have worked with clients to ensure that new employees come with the right
thinking and behaviours to do the role. Increasingly I have found myself utilising assessment tools to
assist in the development of individuals and this has flowed on to working with the senior management teams
within those organisations.
In a previous life, or nightmare, if you were to ask my wife, I worked
as a foreign-exchange dealer for a trading bank for seven years, and between leaving the bank
and before the birth of our children I enjoyed success as a sports consultant/ psychologist working
with participants, teams and clubs.
Lisa and I have two sons, Callum and Daniel aged 9 and 7 who keep us both busy
and actively involved in their sports (rugby, soccer, karate, sailing and cricket) and their musical
interests. When I am not coaching Callum’s Under 9 rugby team, I like to watch Daniel play rugby and
offer loud vocal encouragement. In the summer I like to walk the dog, dive for paua, or organise a family
cycling expedition to the lighthouse at the end of Eastbourne where we live.
