Lorraine McCarthy Counsellor/Coach
Three years ago Lorraine started working in Australia, attending LSI 1 and 2 Accreditation workshops to support participants in their own reflection of their thinking and behavioural styles. Lorraine also looks at the relationship that participants might have to past and present events in their lives, as well as their reactions to getting such in depth feedback. Participants are able to talk to Lorraine one on one during the course of the workshop or at the HS office the following day. She spends one or two weeks a month in Sydney. Lorraine also offers Personal Intensive sessions at an extra cost. These take two hours. The goal is to explore and overcome subconscious blocks to changing one’s thinking and behaviour. >During the session Lorraine uses action methods of counselling, based on the psychodramatic approach to enable you to see yourself as a child. Experiencing yourself as a child in your family system enables you to clearly see your personal qualities or intrinsic value. Seeing the events and influences which shaped your development and feeling love and compassion for the child who decided that they had to think and behave in a certain way in order to be worthwhile, frees and motivates you to change and become constructive for your own sakes. Post any session, Lorraine sends notes to the client, including a list of their personal qualities, the key influences which interacted with these attributes to produce coping roles or defensive styles, as well as follow up steps.
